When the curtain chain came off in the room, it was seen to and repaired immediately. My partner left her shoes behind; the hotel contacted me so that I could collect them.

Hotel looks lovely, not a great experience.

Bed was very comfortable, floorboards are squeaky. Lovely looking hotel, breakfast is expensive but view was lovely.

I had a very disappointing experience when I arrived being told by a staff member that I wasn't staying there and booking.com should not of let me reserve a room. I tried to explain that I had direct emails from the hotel accepting my booking and the time I said I would arrive after finishing work but they wouldn't listen and kept saying that was not from the hotel and was from booking.com and they shouldn't of done it. They then took a phone and called their manager from another room leaving me confused about what I should do at 10pm at night and then came back didn't apologise for the situation and instead just asked for my payment card. This hotel is not cheap for a night and I expected better service when I arrived. I stay at many hotels for work and this has never happened before.

Paid for a room with view of park. Yes the room had a park view but guests at terrace restaurant and park users had full view of our room. Therefore we had to have blinds closed all the time when in room.

bed was really comfy, room was lovely and cool with aircon, exceptionally clean and welcoming. great setting for the restaurant- amazing views over cannizzaro park, easy free parking for guests

service in restaurant especially at breakfast was incredibly hit and miss and slow. one morning we waited 40 mins for cooked breakfast, the next morning it arrived speedily but no bread basket appeared at all until requested.

The beautiful location was the best feature of this hotel. We enjoyed the breakfasts and dinner. The staff were very friendly although some could do with some more training. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable.

The safe in the room did not work and couldn’t be repaired. We had a deluxe room but the furniture had had too many knocks and the drawers wouldn’t close easily. The hotel is expensive but we were there during Wimbledon tennis fortnight so possibly the most expensive time.

Orangey with view over the park and peacefulness.

Restaurant was frankly chaotic, champagne and wine was never chilled and the service was poor; no leadership or guidance to obviously new and untrained staff. Tables not properly set, sitting for an hour at breakfast etc. My final bill on checkout had two dinners, drinks and breakfast charges from other guests!

I booked the property last minute because I won tickets for Wimbledon and read the reviews on here and thought it sounded nice. Booking in was easy and when I asked if I could book transfer to the tennis I was informed there was Courtesy transport available which was lovely the staff are so helpful and friendly!

My only negative criticism Is the breakfast table was not laid out properly no sugar or jams available but that is all

It's such a shame that this hotel is so let down by its staff who were borderline useless. Upon entering the hotel the staff were completely disinterested upon check in. The three staff members that were present continued their own private conversation without so much as an acknowledgement until a fourth came to check us in. The staff in the restaurant seemed completely out of their depth and seemingly unable to converse. We waited 25 minutes for a drink and as long again for a sandwich. The breakfast was terrible. My wife's avocado and poached eggs came absolutely swimming in oil with the eggs more hard boiled than poached. I ordered a full english but what I received was extremely poor. The hotel had ran out of bacon and the eggs were pretty much a raw, jiggling mass - needless to say we didn't eat much. Overall the hotel could have done with some TLC in the communal areas, although the room was pleasant and the bed was very comfortable.

The stylish room and comfortable bed. The bathroom (with underfloor heating!) was very beautiful. However, I imagine the very high sided bath might be a challenge for some older guests.

Breakfast was disappointing. No pot of coffee, just a cup each (not good coffee either); poor white toast - would have preferred brown (but were not asked). Had to ask for croissants; there had been just 2 mini Danish each offered as the continental selection. No jam on our table; found it on the neighbouring table.

The bed was big and comfy. Shower nice and powerful.

Room poor for the price. Friends paid exactly the same and had a deluxe room ️ Poor lighting. Coffee machine a joke. And £4 for a bottle of water in the room. Bathroom door has clear glass on the outside. Could see straight into the bathroom.
